Foundation
Compact soil with heavy equipment vibrating compactor before digging footings
3000 lb concrete, standard is 2500 lb
Soil borings to determine soil characteristics prior to construction
Custom concrete mix; uses Superplasticizer, requires less water, less cracking
Control joints control cracking
Step-down showers; recessed into slab so that water can't back up into house
Seal all slab penetrations

Exterior
Hardiplank; masonry product – holds paint well, highly durable, masonry discount on homeowner's insurance; mildew-resistant
2 Coats of paint on siding
Acrocrete; mildew resistant, longer paint life (at least 10 years)
Spraycrete finish on porch floors

Framing
Wood columns are multi-ply; helps prevent twisting, turning
Extensive window seal to minimize leakage
Seal behind stone walls with Grace Ice & Water Shield® to prevent rotting from leakage
Felt paper between sheathing and siding is waterproof unlike housewrap product

Windows, Doors
Low E, double-pane, gas-filled windows; keeps sun from fading carpet, furniture; keeps heat out in  summer, heat in in winter
"Velux" Low E glass skylights
"Thermatru" Fiberglass front door; no rust or rot

Insulation
Clean and vacuum wall spaces before insulation
R13/R30 Cellulose Insulation, more efficient than required
Made of recycled paper, borate treated; fire-retardant, termite resistant

Plumbing
Acrylic tubs; easier to maintain, repair
Moen M-Pact valve system; easy to upgrade or switch style in the future
Gas line for dryer

Electrical
Super-quiet bath fans
Compact fluorescent bulbs; uses 1/3 of electricity of normal bulbs
Motion detectors on exterior floods
200 Amp Service

HVAC
Proper sizing of system
Programmable thermostats
Protect ductwork during construction; limit the dust in the system
Variable speed air handler; more efficient, quieter; only runs as much as necessary;  humidity control
Fresh air intake; healthier, cleaner air to breathe
Anti-microbial ductwork; inhibits mold in system
Ductwork is double-sealed (mastic and tape) for less air loss, longer life
2-3% leakage in ducts; (Florida new home average is 10%)
Air handler in conditioned space; less loss, more efficient
15 Seer efficiency; (13 Seer is required)
Jumper air returns in bedrooms for even temperature distribution

Details
Fireplace has safety oxygen depletion sensor for auto shutoff; safer
All metal roof projections are painted for esthetics
Epoxy paint on garage floors
Orange peel finish on sheetrock
2 coats of paint on walls
Exterior trim is cypress; insect resistant, weather resistant
Check slab moisture and dehumidify home before installing flooring; seal if necessary
Vent range hood to outside, not required
Energy Star appliances
Low VOC paint
